Christmas Bowl Badge Day Appeal:   Friday 14 December 2007 - Volunteers Needed

SA Council of Churches are seeking people to donate an hour of their time to collect for Christmas Bowl Badge Day at either the St. Agnes & Campbelltown Shopping Centres, or the Woolworths stores at Gilles Plains, Golden Grove or Tea Tree Plaza between 9:00am and 5:00pm.  If you wish to serve in this way, please let me know by Monday 22 October.  Christmas Bowl is a time for churches across Australia to work together to help alleviate poverty, oppression and injustice in Australia and overseas.  With thanks.  Maree Winter.

Your Help Needed!
On the first Sunday of each month we have communion and on that day a mission box is made available for people to bring in any non-perishable food items for mission outreach to help needy people.  We are happy to receive non-perishable items, eg: tinned food, longlife milk, packet food, rice, cereal etc.

New Great Grandparents
Congratulations to John and Trish Ducker who have become great grandparents to little Ella Mae, born to Kylie and Martin on Wednesday 19 September at 6 pm at Burnside Hospital. 

Family Life Worker (Outreach)
Golden Grove Uniting Church are inviting applications for the position of Family Life Worker (Outreach).  The position is for 15 hours per week for a period of 6 months.  The successful applicant will be expected to form and lead a task group made up of members of the congregation to foster outreach in the Golden Grove area.  For a job and person specification, telephone Gordon Cooksey on 8288 7789 or email cooksey@tpg.com.au

Tax Help
Tax Returns are due in by 31 October and the Tax Help program is operating from our Church until that date.  If you would like or need help with your Tax return, please make an appointment at the Welcome Centre soon.  The Tax Help program is sponsored by the ATO.

New Welcome Centre Leader
We welcome Tracey Zussimo as the new Welcome Centre team leader.  Tracey will oversee and ensure the smooth running of the Welcome Centre during the week.  When you next visit the Welcome Centre you will notice that changes have already occurred.
