Summer Discovery
Given the many activities in our Church, there are no plans for aDiscoveryJanuary 2008.Jump Out is currently planned for February.
Congregation Meeting
There will be a Meeting of the Congregationnext Sunday,
16th September at 12 noon.
The purpose of the Congregation meeting will be to receive a report from the Joint Nominating Committee.
The JNC has been active in finding a person to fill the other placement at Hope Valley and will bring a recommendation to the meeting.
NCC Booklet
The National Council of Churches in Australia have put out a booklet on social justice and global issues. The booklet can be found in a brochure holder in the foyer.
The chapters are written to spark discussion; and a brief study guide is provided to help facilitate conversation.
Supplementary information is provided on the NCC website www.ncca.org.au. All the material in the booklet may be copied for group work.
You are warmly invited to attend a concert of music for choir and brass in St Peter’s Cathedral today at 3:00pm. Tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for concession and $10 for students.
Entitled ‘The Splendour of Venice’, the concert is an exploration of music you may have heard 500 years ago in St Mark’s Basilica, Venice. The likes of Monteverdi, Gabrieli and Schutz are all represented in a stunning and uplifting program. The St Peter’s Cathedral Choir will be joined by five brass players from the Adelaide Symphony Orchestra.
