We have available in the Library for reading the Uniting Church National Assembly Federal election resource, ‘Growing a Nation of Hope’.

The resource covers important areas of public policy in Australia.  It is non-partisan and non party political.  The booklet contains theological reflections on issues and a set of 12 Hot Issue Briefs which contain a short summary of facts and other issues of significance to our lives, eg. Poverty, Fair Taxation, Multiculturalism, etc.

All material can be photocopied and also  downloaded from the election website,

MISSION OFFERING
Today, 18th November

Today’s Mission Offering will support the Community Care Orphanage in Lilongwe, the capital of Malawi, Africa.  Boyd one of our young people has recently spent several weeks in Lilongwe and had involvement with this Orphanage.

The word orphanage in Africa has a different meaning to what we think of as an orphanage. In Malawi the local church ran an education program for children from very poor families. The children would come daily to the orphanage and as well as education the church would provide meals for the children. Our mission offering will go towards this project. Leighton will talk to us about the work he was involved in Lilongwe.

Christmas Seminars in
Primary Schools

From Monday 26 November to Friday 7 December, Pray TTG will be taking teams into local primary schools again to share the Christmas story in a fun creative 50 minute program. Last year they went into 12 local schools and were able to share with over 2100 children!

This is an amazing opportunity of open doors God has provided. If you enjoy being with children,  relate well to them, are free one or more days during the 2 weeks, have a heart to see children hear the gospel, have a good happy attitude, Pray TTG would love to have you on their team. You can contact Maxine Mostert at maxinem@clovercrest.com.au or on 8397 9400 or  Rosemary Mack on 8288 1758. They will provide everything you need, you only need to be available!

Congregation Meeting

When: Sunday 25 November at 12 noon.
Topics: The annual report will be received and there will be a property update.

A copy of the Report to the Congregation is available in the worship foyer today.
