The Friends & Neighbours group of the Lutheran Retirement Village will be sponsoring an exhibition of hand made Teddy Bears & Porcelain Dolls by Maxine Gilbert & Friends on

at the Trinity Church, Lutheran Retirement Village, 1215 Grand Junction Road,
Hope Valley

Admission is $5.00 - includes afternoon tea & door prizes.
Proceeds are in aid of Project Ten.

Accommodation Required
Accommodation is required for our next friend from Bali coming to Adelaide to attend Torrens Valley TAFE.
His name is Si Bagus Herman Suryadi. He will be in our church community from
9 Feb – 15 April.

Summer Discovery
Thank you for all the donations of ribbon, cardboard rolls and coathangers for Summer Discovery 2007 - Discoverland.
Please consider how you can be involved for this vibrant outreach program of our Hope Valley community of faith.
There will be a meeting for about an hour on Thursday 11 January at 7.30pm in the Western Room.
You are most welcome to attend.

Journey to Turkey and Greece
Dean and Ginny Brookes will be escorting a Journey to Turkey and Greece from 19 September - 10 October 2007. This is a unique opportunity to visit places where the Apostle Paul established churches in the beginning of the spread of the Christian gospel. You are welcome to join the tour for this enriching and exciting pilgrimage. For further information on the itinerary speak with Dean or Ginny.

Celebrate God’s Glory - Really Live!
Christian Women Communicating International are celebrating their 50th year in Australia in 2007. Their 42nd Annual Convention will be held at Victor Harbor from 16-18 March 2007.

Maureen & Trevor are returning to Thailand for 3 months from the 31st of January as Volunteers in Mission to work in Sai Mai, Bangkok. During the last 2 weeks of the placement, they will be running an English Holiday Camp for the children. This months’s mission offering will help buy resources for this event. This offering will be collected on Sunday the 14th of January.

Welcome to 2007 in the life of Hope Valley Uniting Church. We trust you all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. 2007 is shaping up to be a big year for prayer and leadership. We kick off the year with the theme
